Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Nav-Mat is the most convenient mounting accessory for your portable GPS today. Using the physics of weight distribution along with high tech anti-skid materials, it creates a solid mounting base while turning your windshield mounted GPS into a dash mounted GPS.The Nav-Mat conforms to the contours of your dashboard, allowing it to work on uneven or textured surfaces while the anti-skid underside keeps the device from sliding. Designed to work with devices up to several pounds using the windshield suction mount sold with most popular GPS units, the Nav-Mat requires no tools for installation and can easily be moved from vehicle to vehicle or put out of sight when exiting the vehicle. Also works well with other Bracketron Windshield Mounts for mounting devices such as Satellite Radio, Cell Phones and MP3 Players.

5 out of 5 stars Dash Pad for Magellan GPS   January 9, 2009
E. Presti (Quantico, VA)
I am extremely impressed with the Bracketron Nav-Mat Dash Pad. It sits perfectly on my van dashboard which is very curvy to begin with and has been polished with armor all. The GPS unit with it's bottom mount sits snugly in place while driving around curves and corners, while braking unexpectedly, during all driving conditions. This makes it easy for us to take the unit out when we leave the car or stow it in the floor out of eye sight so the temptation for someone to steal the unit is not there. I definitely recommend this to anyone with a GPS or even an ashtray or a cup of coffee.

1 out of 5 stars Incompatible with widescreen TomTom   January 9, 2009

Although this item is said to be compatible with the Tom Tom, my widescreen Tom Tom XL 330-S sits too low to clear the rim and therefore cannot be attached to this mount.

4 out of 5 stars Hide traces of your GPS   January 8, 2009
T. Wong (USA)
Someone broke into my friend's car, stole his GPS, and left behind a broken window for him to repair. Everyone should get a removable dash pad. Even if you hide your GPS, your permanent dash pad tells the world a GPS might be hiding in your car. The Bracketron dash pad is somewhat large though. If you have a tiny GPS, you might consider buying a smaller dash pad.

5 out of 5 stars GPS dash pad   January 7, 2009
K. Telenga (Bismarck, Nd)
This does what it is suppose to do, no slipping around and way easier than than trying to stick it on your angled windshield, comes with a round flat plastic in the middle to mount the GPS.

4 out of 5 stars California law changed - dash pad not required anymore   January 7, 2009
Paul F. Gill
as of Jan 1, 2009 - new California law now allows attaching GPS to lower 5" by 5" corner of driver's side windshield! However, the dash pad allows you to hide device from view while parked! It even works OK while perched on the control panel and can easily be seen through the steering wheel so I usually leave it there!
