Simply the BEST! January 9, 2009 Jendar (Kansas, USA) These diapers are the softest and most absorbent of any I have tried and they smell great. They do contain leaks better than any other brand. They are well worth the little extra $. I wish Pampers would make them in bigger sizes too!!
Rather use sensitive January 9, 2009 L. Lee (virginia) I switched from Swaddlers Sensitive to regular Swaddlers recently, but found the regular ones leaving a film behind. The baby doesn't seem to mind, but it looks a little slimy so it bothers me.
swaddler size 1-2 January 2, 2009 Paty Kay (Chicago Area) This box of swaddlers size 1-2 was a great value. The diaper looks like it is identical to the size 1, it doesn't look any bigger. So if you need size 1 buy this it makes the diapers cheaper! And try to avoid the newborn diapers they end up costing near double the size 1-2.
As to quality, I prefer Pampers. I experimented with my first with huggies, but they left a lot of the gel beads on her bottom. With my son they gave me swaddlers at the hospital, they worked fine there and ever since. Blow outs are always a possibility with any diaper, but these hold a lot before they give. (only 3 out of over 400 diaper changes have not held up)
Great for Newborn to 3 months January 2, 2009 Laura Louise Harden (Portland, Oregon) I used these diapers exclusively while my daughter was a newborn up until 3 months old. They are very, very soft and I never had a leak. I switched to baby dry when she got a bit bigger for better (more) absorption. The only con is they cost a bit more than some other brands.
Best diaper! January 1, 2009 C. Shepard (Pennsylvania, USA) Pampers Swaddlers (Newborn and size 1, so far) are the best diaper we've tried. They don't leak, they fit well and they are very absorbent.
Huggies aren't as absorbent as Pampers and they don't fit as well. They run bigger than the Pampers and Luvs. They work well, but not great like the Pampers.
Luvs are ok. Their fit is somewhat less snug than Huggies, but they are at least as absorbent as Huggies. They, like the Huggies, tend to roll up at the waistline on occasion. This is when the diaper is most likely to leak. Still, though, I've been using Luvs as my 2 month old son's overnight diaper without difficulty.
I tried Seventh Generation diapers (size 1) because I got them for free from the Amazon baby registry promotion. They are akin to paper lunch bags with velcro straps and elastic. They are not very absorbent at all, and we can only go a maximum of two-three hours at a time between changes. After that, they just leak everywhere--badly. Also, they run much smaller than the Pampers, Huggies and Luvs. They don't fit well, they roll up at the waistline and the elastic does not expand enough to really make the diaper tight enough to prevent leaks.(This is despite the fact that the package says the elastic is super stretchy!)I only use these diapers during the day when I can change him every couple of hours.
Ranking: Pampers Swaddlers (Sensitive is even better!) Huggies Luvs Paper towel tied around baby's waist Seventh Generation
Save yourself the headache and go with the Pampers.
