 Great quality camera case November 19, 2008

I bought this case because I was going on a 2 week trip to the everglades and wanted to be able to take quality pictures but not worry about risking my camera from getting damaged in any way. This case was perfect, all the functions work normally with the case on, the flash is a little messed up when the case is on but all you have to do is put on the filter, and the flash works much better. The case was fairly expensive, but you have to consider you camera's safety and the fact that this case is not in any way made cheaply. This is a quality case, and you get what you pay for. I just can't wait to go on a trip where I can scuba dive with it.

The case worked. During my vacations, I have opened it and cleaned in order to replace the batteries. I didn't have problems with leaking, but I should note that I took care when I handled it.
The photos came out great. I expect they would be better if I was in different waters at different depth. But I have to say the photos showed exactly what I have seen through my mask. Most of the credit for photo quality should go to the camera's (A 710 IS) ability to take pictures. However, it wouldn't be possible without this great case. I highly recommend it. Based on the price, I wouldn't choose any other case or camera for underwater photography at this moment.

We purchased the Canon water proof housing for my Canon A710 IS. It does keep the camera safe. my husband used it while snorkeling. My only advice would be to purchase a strobe light as well. There is no way we will be going on the beach or near a pool without using the housing. The photos just from the beach came out awesome. Well worth the money. My husband was leary at first, but he is a believer now. Should I ever get another camera I would again purchase another housing like this.

Product performed perfectly and all the camera controls worked easily. THe images were better than any other underwater camera I had used in the past. It is well worth the investment.

With Ikelite selling their mounts for $500.00+, this one rates right up there as a steal! This mount has an optical front with anti-glare coating made by Canon, and all the gizmo switches are perfect for underwater operation!
I highly recommend anyone with this model camera to buy this, as it is good for rainy days, dusty days, and snowy days for keeping your camera dry and operating! I've been shooting since 1969, and haven't run into a bargain such as this for underwater shooting!
