Daughters like this game January 8, 2009 Patricia Gernert (Ramstein, Germany) My girls think this is a fun game. It help teach Wii controller use by telling you which button to push or how to move the controller to get the pets to do what you need to play. Although, my girls are 9 and 11, I think the game has a much younger target audience.
SANTA SCORES BIG!!!! January 8, 2009 RYD4*5 (Alaska, USA) Grampa was out of town over Christmas. When he returned, he asked the 9 year old what Santa brought her. She went into a long explanation of Littlest Pet Shop and how much she looooooves it. No mention of the wii or the dolls and other toys she got-- only Littlest Pet Shop. I can only assume that she is completely impressed and that this is a very fun game. She plays it constantly and takes it to her friends houses to play it with them. I can't think of a higher recommendation for a game. Way to go, Santa!!!
Pretty good January 3, 2009 Suzy Dowell (Collegeville, PA) My 5-year-old loves the PetPals game on her Leapster 2, so we thought this would be great. She loves it, but there are things to read on the screen, so someone older does need to be there at times to keep it going. I think she will enjoy this more when her reading skills improve. A 7 or 8-year-old girl would love this game.
Perfect for girls!!! December 30, 2008 A. Bogner (USA) My 6 year old daughter is rather too uncoordinated to play most of the Wii games we own. She received this game for Christmas and she loves it! She can completely play it by herself.
Pros: * Mini-games are cute and fun and are exactly what you would expect for LPS (blowing up balloons, swinging, dancing, etc). * It's a game my daughter can play without me hovering over her to explain every detail. * There is a level of responsibility with the pets, you have to feed them and scratch them to keep them happy. Granted, I have no idea what happens if you don't take care of them, but my daughter totally plays into that! (This could get annoying once you get more and more pets though) * Of course I have to mention how adorable the pets are and how cute the backgrounds are. Again, exactly what you would expect for LPS.
Cons: * Sometimes the text is a little difficult to read, even on my 42" LCD, but she hasn't complained about it. (Maybe the text should have been darker and not pale pink on a pastel background). * My daughter was upset at first that not all of the pets and other 3 worlds were available right away. Once I explained that she would have to play for a bit to get them, she was ok with it. (Again, she hasn't played many games to automatically know this concept).
All in all, this game is great for little girls. It has definitely helped my daughter's coordination with the Wii and games in general. Not to mention, she has a blast playing it and begs for more time on the Wii just for this game!
Got a little girl and a Wii? Get this game. December 30, 2008 Randi Morse 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Our daughter is 4 years old and has been playing the Wii with us ever since we bought it last year. There have been some games she enjoys, like the classic bowling and tennis, but most of the games she has a hard time with - like Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros (both awesome games for older kids).
We bought her Littlest Pet Shop for the Wii for Christmas. She's not that big into Littlest Pet Shop, so I was wondering how much she would like the game. I should never have been worried.
She loves this game. She wants to spend half the day on this game (she's not allowed to, of course, but it doesn't stop her from wanting to!). She has gotten a number of new pets since she opened it on Christmas day and loves playing the games and dressing up the pets. I'm now trying to figure out how to open the different areas.
She loves this game so much that she is paying to get Littlest Pet Shop Winter for the Nintendo DS she got for Christmas - and I know that it will be as age appropriate as this game is. If you've got a young girl in your house, and a Wii, get this game. You won't be disappointed.
