Product Description Backed by two centuries of expertise and nurtured amid cool volcanic mountains and an ideal climate, the coffees of the Tres Rios region are considered "the Bordeaux" of Costa Rica. The light, penetrating, honey-nut aroma of Cafe Britt Tres Rios compliments the hints of plum and allspice in its elegant, complex flavor. This coffee caresses the palate with a memorable soft and friendly finish. We are proud of Tres Rios Valdivia and we are eager to share the experience with coffee lovers who crave the best. 100% SHB (Strictly Hard Bean). All natural gourmet coffee. Kosher and fair trade certified.

Good Tasting Whole Bean Coffee February 13, 2008 G. A. Marconi (Baltimore, MD United States) I am new to buying whole bean coffee so I am by no means an expert. I can tell you that fresh ground coffee tastes noticeably better than ground coffee from the grocery store. When I first tried this coffee, I thought the flavor was very good but I really did not have much to compare it to. Since I have used this coffee, I have tried Kona coffee from Hawaii and also several coffees from Brazil. I think the Kona coffee tastes the best. I purchased 3 different types of the costa rican coffee and they are very good but the Kona had a smoother, more mellow flavor. The Tres Rios, the Poas volcanic and the Tarrazu are all good and worth trying.
Great Coffee March 10, 2007 Coffee Lover (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A friend went on a trip to Costa Rica and brought this coffee back with her. I loved it from the first cup. I've been a Starbucks fan for a long time, but this coffee is way better than Starbucks. I just received my first order from Cafe Britt. It arrived very promptly and in great condition. If you love coffee, I'd highly recommend giving this coffee a try.
Suites my taste perfectly March 4, 2006 R. Jafarkhani (Los Angeles, CA USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'm only a little bit of a coffee nut, but I really like this coffee. My fiance's father brought some back from Costa Rica while he was there on business. I have just finished my bag and already miss it. This was one of the best coffees I have tasted. Well balanced, not too acidic, not too bitter, just right in my opinion. It's really good served traditionally hot, but it's also great iced. And as with all coffees... it's best if you get whole bean and grind it yourself.
My opinion... a must try!
