Bad mp3 player November 19, 2008 Joshua Brumleve (holden, MA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
when i first got this mp3 player there was something loose inside on it. Then i had to ship it back to the compony. They had sent me another one back. I started to use it but soon found out that the touch screen is horible. The only way to get things to appeer is you have to tap on it a million times. I would not recemend theis product to people that do not have pasents.
4GB version available & Questions for miniSDHC May 20, 2008 J. Lu I had a quick question regarding the compatibility with the miniSD cards and this device. There are 2 types of miniSD cards floating out there, the miniSDHC and miniSD. Please let me know if you have successfully used the miniSDHC cards with this device. Thanks~
I purchased the 4GB version (VT-4) at a fraction of what an Itouch would cost, but be warned - do not expect long-term use with this device (consider this a short term investment). The main reasons for this purchase are 3 things, 4GB memory and expandable to 8GB storage, multi-format video playback (even RMVB!) and 3.0 inch touch screen. Just the 4GB of memory and 3" touch screen already justifies the price paid for the product. This product boasts a nice extensive set of features for a good price while keeping the luxuries of a 3" LCD and 4GB of memory. The only downside is the durability of this unit. I don't expect this thing to last more than 1 year.
Formidable Competitor of Expensive Video Players March 31, 2008 J. Dai 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Some of my friends and my cousin bought the Apple I-phone came out, and they paid a premium for it. A few months later, competing products such as these MP4 / Video players came out. I was among the first in my school to use the Touch Screen Portable Media Player, and it was good enough to pass off as an i-Phone. I showed my friends the pros and cons about the player, and they seemed to like it. Because of this, when their birthdays came I gave them one as a gift. (since I had a few extra players - If I had bought an Apple V-Pod, I-pod, I would be dirt poor)
The manufacturing costs of top brands of MP3 / Video players, have been in the past, designed to maximize profit at the expense of the consumer. The quality of Apple is generally very good, but since they have the majority share in the market, they don't even have to make their quality top notch and they can still get by.
Who notices about top notch electronics now anyways? People have grown nonchalant and used to the variations of technology. As long as the quality is good, people use products in their daily lives. Besides, there are features found on the Touch Screen Media Player that are not found on the Apple iPhone. Each product has its distinct advantages, whether it be Apple, Sony, or a generic brand.
Touch screen IPod February 10, 2008 Holly Cumings Just as described. Could not get it to read additional memory card though. Everything else would read it.
Very Bad Product February 5, 2008 Kanguru (USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Product looks good in the website, but in person it's like some cheap mp3 player that you can buy at flea markets for $5... or even something you can pull out of a cereal box. It's poorly built; cheap snap on plastic material, has no camera as stated; false advertising, sound quality is horrible, touch screen does not work well; better off using buttons, the manual is useless... this thing is not worth $70. Put your money towards an iPod touch.
